Keeper's Curse Cut Enemies
You’ve already met the three cursed creatures from Keeper’s Curse, but did you know that more were designed for the game?
Since we only had a short 3-month development cycle, we had to cut most of the enemies from the final game. In this blog post you’ll get to learn more about them and how they were made!
Hungry Eel
This eel is too spiky to touch, and it hunts its prey when it sees you. Bigger Variants will eat you whole. I used 3DS max to model the Hungry Eel. I used Photoshop to Texture the Hungry Eel. I started with a Cone, and I transformed it into an Eel. I used more Cones for the Spikes, Horns, and Teeth. I used 2 Boxes for the Fins. I added Bones to the Jaws, Fins, and Tail and then I rigged it. I also used a Jaw Chomp, Fin Wave, and Tail Wag Animation.
Biter Bass
This fish’s fins and tail will stun you and will eat your arms right off. I used 3DS max to model the Biter Bass. I used Photoshop to Texture the Biter Bass. I started with a Cone, and I transformed it into a Bass. I used a Torus for the Mouth. I used a lot of Boxes for the Fins and Tail. I used more Cones for the Teeth. I added Bones to the Body, Fins, and Tail and then I rigged it. I also used a Fin Wave and Tail Wag Animation.
Star Sucker
This Pokey Starfish will jump at you and eat your face right off if you get too close. I used 3DS max to model the Star Sucker. I used Photoshop to Texture the Star Sucker. I started with a Cylinder, and I transformed it into a Starfish. I used a lot of Cones for the Spikes and Teeth.
Deviled Clawfin
This enemy will pinch you and will bite at your legs. I used 3DS max to model the Deviled Clawfin. I used Photoshop to Texture the Deviled Clawfin.
